Choosing the Right Lighting for Your Events

Lighting plays a vital role in any event, making it a crucial aspect of event planning that should never be overlooked. Proper lighting can help set the mood and add ambiance to your event. With a plethora of lighting options available through the marketplace and through Wright Group Event Services, it can be overwhelming when deciding which type of lighting is best to use for your event. Whether you’re planning a corporate event or a wedding, this post will guide you through the various types of lighting and when they are best suited. Outdoor Events: When it comes to outdoor events, natural lighting is always the best option! If your event takes place during the day, choose a venue with plenty of natural light to reduce the need for additional lighting. For evening events, string lights are an excellent choice. String lights are a good option for creating a soft, warm, and ambient atmosphere. They can be easily hung over dining areas or strung up in trees to create a magical atmosphere. In addition to string lights, use spotlights to highlight landscapes, architectural features, or any other focal point that needs to be highlighted. Corporate Events: Corporate events require a professional and classy atmosphere. Clear, bright lighting is key to achieving this atmosphere. Use bright white lights to showcase branding materials, logos, and signage clearly. For a softer feel, use diffused lighting, which reduces harsh shadows and makes the environment feel more inviting. Create an intimate ambiance with the use of warm lighting, but do not overdo it. Incorporate various lighting fixtures to provide a more engaging and sophisticated atmosphere. Weddings: Weddings demand a magical atmosphere, and nothing screams magic like subtle yet effective lighting. Use fairy lights, also known as twinkle lights, to create an enchanting ambiance. Use a canopy of fairy lights or wrap them around trees or other natural focal points. For the reception area, use a variety of light sources, including chandeliers, pendant lighting, and shaded lamps. Different lighting fixtures provide different moods, so be sure to select the right combination. Charity Events: Charity events require a lively, festive ambiance. Festoon lighting can be an excellent choice for this type of event. They are easy to install and can be strung up in many different styles. A well-designed festoon lighting will add a festive atmosphere to your event while keeping the focus on the cause. Choose bright, bold colors like red, blue, and green to light up your event and pay homage to the cause you’re supporting. Concerts or DJ Events: Concerts or DJ events usually have intensive lighting. They are used to create a dynamic and engaging atmosphere. For these events, use a combination of strobe lights, laser lights, and color-changing lights. These lighting fixtures will provide movement and color around the space, making it more lively and engaging. In conclusion, choosing the right lighting for your event is an essential consideration that will have a profound impact on the ambiance and mood of your event. Follow this guide when choosing your lighting, and you will achieve the perfect ambiance every time. Consider the type of event, venue, and desired atmosphere to select the best type of lighting for your event. Remember, proper lighting can make a significant impact on the quality of your event. Choose the right type of lighting and your event is destined to be a success! Double your success rate by working with Wright Group Event Services for all your event rental needs. How to Create the Perfect Seating Chart for Weddings

Green Pink Tropical Watercolor Wedding Seating Card

One of the biggest challenges of planning a wedding is figuring out how to seat all of your guests. Creating a seating chart may seem like a daunting task, but with a little bit of planning, it can be a breeze. In this blog post, we will provide you with tips and tricks on how to create the perfect seating chart for your wedding, so that your guests feel comfortable and have a great time celebrating your big day. Start by Creating a List of Guests and Their Preferences The first step in creating a seating chart is to create a list of all your guests and their preferences. This will help you understand who should seat where and make them feel comfortable at your wedding. Ask your guests if they have any dietary requirements and preferences. You should also consider placing guests with similar interests together to keep the conversation flowing. Make Use of Seating Tools and Software Instead of scratching your head with a pen and paper, make use of modern technology to make your seating chart creation process easier and faster. Some of the commonly used seating tools include Top Table Planner, Wedding Wire Seating Chart, and Social Tables. These tools allow you to drag and drop guests to create your seating chart quickly and efficiently. Keep Note of Family Dynamics To avoid any clashes during your wedding day, it is important to keep note of family dynamics as you create your seating chart. This means ensuring guests who may have personal conflicts are seated at tables far apart from each other. Additionally, you can find ways to include kids or singles by grouping them with people of similar ages or interests. Personalize your Seating Chart As you plan your seating chart, you should also consider personalizing it with your guests’ names by using unique table numbers or seating charts. You can also add a personal touch to each seating assignment by placing a hand-written note or personalized place card sourced from online or custom shops. Give Yourself Enough Time Lastly, remember to give yourself enough time to plan and customize your seating chart to ensure it aligns with your wedding day’s timeline. Make sure to finalize your seating chart at least a week before your big day to avoid last-minute changes and an increase in stress levels. We hope this blog post has provided you with valuable tips on how to create the perfect seating chart for your wedding day. By starting well ahead of time, taking note of guests’ preferences, keeping family dynamics in mind, and utilizing modern tools, you can create a seating chart that will make your guests comfortable. The key takeaway is to keep your guests’ interests at the forefront of your efforts and use creativity to make your seating chart personal. Happy planning! How to Rent the Perfect Wedding Tent

Wedding tent

Planning your wedding can be a stressful yet rewarding process. With so many details to consider, it can be difficult to know what’s most important and how to get everything done in time for the big day. One of the most important elements to consider when planning a wedding is renting a tent for the reception. This blog post will provide some helpful tips on how to rent the perfect wedding tent. Choose Your Tent Style When selecting a tent for your wedding, you should first decide which tent style works best for your event space. Some popular styles include frame tents, traditional pole tents, and sailcloth tents. Frame tents are free-standing structures with no center poles, providing an open floor plan and allowing for more flexibility in terms of layout and decorations. Traditional pole tents have support poles around the perimeter that create interior walls within the tent structure. These tend to be more cost-effective than frame tents but require more space due to the center poles. Sailcloth tents are designed with fabric that looks like a sailboat canvas; they are ideal for outdoor weddings as they provide shade and shelter from wind and rain while still looking beautiful in any setting. Determine Your Tent Capacity Once you’ve selected your preferred style, you’ll need to determine how large of a tent you need based on the expected number of guests at your wedding. Most rental companies will provide suggestions based on their experience with various weddings — just make sure you don’t underestimate or overestimate your needs! You don’t want guests crammed into an undersized tent or feeling lost in an overly large one, so take some time to figure out exactly what size will work best for you. Check For Add-Ons Finally, when selecting a rental company for your wedding tent, make sure you check what additional items are available as add-ons — such as lighting fixtures or flooring — that may improve your overall experience under the tent (and help keep costs down). This is especially important if you are expecting inclement weather; having backup plans in place will ensure that no matter what Mother Nature throws at you, your wedding day can still go off without a hitch! A wedding tent rental is an essential part of any outdoor event — whether it be an intimate gathering or a grand affair — so take some time to select one that fits both your budget and vision perfectly! By considering factors such as style, capacity, and add-ons before making a decision, brides can rest easy knowing their special day will look picture perfect under their beautiful wedding tent! With these tips in mind, brides can look forward to hosting their dream weddings without any extra stress or worry. 3 Wedding Must Have Rentals

Couple

Once the wedding date is set, the wedding style and theme often come next. And whether you are getting married in a backyard or a cathedral, there are a few must-haves that every wedding party should consider renting. For any wedding, but especially the outdoor wedding, a tent is a must-have unless you have immediate access to an indoor space that can hold all your guests. Style options are endless, so researching for the perfect tent is worth the time. Marquee and pavilion tents are excellent for larger crowds. These tents usually have an internal high pitch pole(s) to give feelings of a high ceiling with wall framing so it is also very stable. The variety in shapes and sizes make these tents a great option for weddings from 100 to 1000 people. A dance floor can easily be overlooked as a must-have rental for your wedding. When you select your venue, ask questions about any existing dance floors or dance areas. Many venues either do not have a formal space or may have a space too small to accommodate dancing guests. Renting a dance floor gives you the ability to plan for the correct amount of space needed for all to get their groove on, typically about four and half square feet per guest. You can also plan that about half of your group will be dancing at the same time. Our last suggestion, especially for any event held outdoors, is to rent restrooms. Or at least ask the venue if restroom access is available or an additional fee. Not all outdoor venues just include bathrooms so do your research. If you are not sure, rent a few Port-o-Potties so your guests are not dancing for the wrong reason. Prepare To Wed – What Should You Consider Renting That May Not Be Top of Mind

Planning for the big day involves so many details, it can be easy to let a few slip through the cracks. Below are five top items to consider renting for your wedding day that you might not think of first. Floral Accessories and Holders – Fresh flowers add a special touch to any occasion, especially a wedding. Rent vases, votive candles, arches and other vessels for floral arrangements. A cost savings could be experienced, and you will have less materials to store and/or gift after the fact. Pest Control – Planning an outdoor wedding can mean uninvited guests. Mosquitos, gnats and flies can be a nuisance to your guests while they are celebrating. Rent pest control devices or add bug repellents to gift bags and tables. Dance Floor – Whether you are planning an outdoor wedding and renting an indoor hall, a well distinguished dance floor can provide an excellent place to dance the night away. Protect floor space and your guests by adding this component to your wedding rentals. Hospitality Trailers – If the event location that you have chosen for your wedding lacks services like a bridal suite, you can easily rent one. Have your hair and make-up people, bridesmaids and Mom meet you in a comfortable, temperature-controlled trailer. Include a juice bar and a video screen for an extra special pampering session. Crowd Control – No one expects your wedding day to need a security team. But moving people along to find seats, dinner settings, gift tables and bathrooms can require special talent, especially for larger weddings. Consider adding rental staff to your wedding day to ensure that everything and everyone lands where they are supposed to. Do you need other ideas for a smooth and beautiful wedding day? Round Tables vs. Rectangle Tables

From wood and metal to glass, formal or informal, choosing the right dining table for your needs can be challenging. Do you often have surprise guests drop by for dinner? Is your home craft-central on the weekends? Are you throwing an event in Denver and need to rent a specific type of table? The right table shape depends on the answers to these questions and more. Small Space If your dining room is square, or the available dining space is limited, a table that helps maintain the balance and proportion of the room and accommodates four to eight diners comfortably is an ideal option. There is enough space for guests to maneuver around each other and no one feels crowded. Tables that have inserts, enabling them to expand, offer flexibility to seat more guests, if needed. A round dining table is also well-suited to smaller spaces. The smaller footprint creates a cozy environment, allowing everyone to relax and be comfortable. A center pedestal provides leg room for guests and has a clean, simple look. Large Groups For big families or frequent entertaining, a rectangular table may meet your needs. Larger groups can be accommodated in spaces that are narrow as dining tables may be as little as 30 inches wide. While wood tables create a classic Americana atmosphere, glass tables can make the area appear more spacious. If you entertain groups larger than ten frequently, you may want to find a table with at least two leaves. This can extend it enough to seat 12 to 14 diners comfortably. The type of base also plays an important role when choosing a rectangle dining table. Legs at the corners allow you to seat a maximum number of people along the long sides of the table. However, there are other considerations. A trestle base also allows you to add additional guests at the short sides of the table, without worrying about them straddling a corner leg. A pedestal base lets guests stretch out their legs, especially if the table is up to 60 inches wide. However, if there are drop ends being used, the table top may be a bit unstable if weight isn’t evenly distributed. Multi-Purpose Do you put puzzles together or use the dining table to create one-of-a-kind craft creations? A square table that can extend or a rectangular table offers flexibility for several purposes. Push it against the wall, and it can still provide functionality and style. Socializing Round tables encourage conversation and interaction. If you host game night, round tables enable everyone to reach the board in the center of the table. These tables also may have extenders, allowing them to expand to ovals for special occasions. Since there is no head of the table, there are no issues regarding hierarchy. An advantage of round tables is also that they have no corners, which makes it less dangerous for small children. What Are the Ways to Use Event Tents?

Tent rentals will have you covered for any type of outdoor event, whether you’re throwing a rustic backyard wedding or a long-awaited family reunion. Tents aren’t just for a rainy forecast since they also provide much-needed sun protection for food, pets, and people. The specific type of tent you’ll need depends on the kind of event, the number of expected guests, the size of the location, and other factors. Frame Tents for Parties and Weddings These sturdy rectangular tents come in sizes ranging from 10-by-10 feet to 40-by-80 feet. Frame tents have no center pole, so they are ideal for events where you want to allow the guests to move around. For example, you could use one frame tent for a dance floor and another for the seating at a wedding or formal affair. This type of tent protects your guests from the elements while leaving the sides open so you still feel as if you’re outdoors. The side poles can be decorated to match the theme and aesthetic of your event. Hexagon Tents for Intimate Gatherings If you want a tent that provides plenty of space underneath while allowing guests to mingle more closely than they would under a spread-out rectangular tent, consider the unique hexagon tent. This option can be divided into separate areas for food, dancing, conversation, and other event functions. The most common hexagon tent measures 40-by-40 feet and is commonly used for wedding receptions. As with rectangular frame tents, the sides are open, and the poles can be adorned with lace, fabric, or other accoutrements. Peak Tents for Fairs and Festivals These eye-catching tents have a steep, triangular top that commands attention even from a distance. For this reason, peak tents are commonly used for vendors and booths at community events like races, fairs, and festivals. Not only can you tie a flag or balloons to the top of the peak so your services and products will stand out, but you can also arrange to have the tent printed with your company logo for maximum brand recognition. This makes peak tents the ideal choice for business events like job fairs. They’re an affordable, flexible option, with sizes ranging from 10-by-10 to 20-by-20 feet. Pole Tents for Informal Events Barbecues and family reunions may be a casual affair, but you still want partygoers to be protected from the sun and the rain. Pole tents provide a more affordable option than frame tents and offer fast, easy setup. These tents work best on grass since the roof is attached to a center pole and must be staked at the corners to keep its shape intact. Pole tents are excellent for large events, with sizes ranging from 40-by-40 feet to 100-by-150 feet. Specialty Tents for Diverse Uses Tents provide endless utility for all types of events. Some outside-the-box options to consider include: • SaddleSpun tents are ideal for large concerts and events since they are designed to look beautiful, provide expansive coverage, and even offer optimal acoustics and sight lines for an exciting performance. • Double-decker tents measuring 45-by-83 feet provide two-story protection for events with many guests. They can be combined with lighting and flooring rentals. • Clover-shaped, triangle, four-column, and Star of David tents are also available. When you need tent rentals and other party supplies, trust event services from The Wright Group. In addition to tents, we offer tables and chairs, wedding decor, signs, bleachers, table settings, utensils, and much more.
